The Massachusetts Daily Collegian had a really thorough article covering the football team from top to bottom. Jeremy Rice, the Collegian’s football beat writer, starts things off with a blurb on how UMass receiver J.J. Moore is en route to second on the all-time catches list.
I’ll let Jeremy tell the rest of the story. This article is a good wrap-up piece, definitely enjoyed it.
One thing that stood out to me was the fact that Jason Peebler was even close to the top of the list. Peebler and I got to UMass at the same time, and I remember him being a slow, power receiver. I guess I was oblivious.
I was probably more concerned with Matt Guice getting chased out of the pocket (and the school) or Jeff Krohn’s concussion-prone head.
Or maybe I was just watching a Villanova field goal and an extra point get blocked to steal a win.
Ah, nostalgia.

Andrew Recchione, a former UMass lacrosse player, was signed by the San Jose Stealth.

Devil Hill, a power forward showing interest in UMass, is visiting Bradley this weekend with his parents, according to the Journal Star.
Here’s the article. Once again, it’s at the bottom.
I’d hate to see this guy slip away from UMass, but I don’t even know where the Minutemen would keep him anymore.
Ford would find a way.
